Dr. Kenneth Curl in The Woodlands, TX, can combine restorative treatment options for a custom full mouth reconstruction.
How can patients benefit from this approach to full mouth rehabilitation?
What Can a Full Mouth Reconstruction Do for Me?
A full mouth reconstruction completely rebuilds the foundation of your smile by combining two or more restorative procedures to help you achieve optimal oral health. A full mouth reconstruction can improve both the functionality and appearance of your mouth.
This treatment is tailored entirely to your needs and Advanced Premier Dental and Implant Dentistry will never try to sell you a treatment you don't need. Our staff is well-educated, and we pride ourselves on our ability to inform patients of any treatments they may be considering. You will have everything you need to make an informed decision.
Common Rehabilitation Procedures Included in a Full Mouth Reconstruction
Dental Implants
If you're missing teeth, implant-supported restorations will return form and function to your smile. Dental implants replace tooth roots in the jawbone and provide a foundation for a custom appliance. In addition, these posts stimulate the jawbone, which helps to prevent further bone loss and changes to your face shape.
If you have been told by another dentist that you cannot receive implants because of jawbone degeneration, Dr. Curl will evaluate your candidacy for a bone graft or sinus lift. These surgeries restore your candidacy for implants to complete a mouth reconstruction.
Dental Bridges
A dental bridge can replace a single tooth or multiple missing teeth in a row. Dental bridges restore your confidence, make it easier to chew, and even help prevent your teeth from becoming misaligned.
A traditional bridge is secured to adjacent healthy teeth. These healthy teeth are capped to hold the bridge securely in place. Our office also offers implant-supported bridges that attach to dental implants, restoring your smile and keeping your jawbone stimulated.
Dental Crowns
Dental crowns fit over a tooth that has been broken, damaged, or decayed. The crown offers protection for the tooth and is virtually indistinguishable from your natural teeth. For patients with a single missing tooth, an implant-supported crown will help restore your smile as well as prevent long-term issues stemming from missing teeth.
Dr. Curl offers lab-fabricated and same-day crowns using CEREC® technology for qualifying patients. Crowns are made using advanced materials that look like natural tooth structure. CEREC crowns appear lifelike and highly durable, and can last for several years when cared for properly.
Dentures & Partials
If you are missing most or all of your teeth, you may qualify for dentures. In addition to enhancing the aesthetics of your smile, dentures will renew your ability to eat comfortably and enunciate clearly.
Traditional dentures fit over your gums and are held in place with suction and adhesion. Our dentistry practice also offers implant-supported dentures that are affixed to implant posts. Dentures can replace an entire arch of teeth, but can also be customized to treat tooth loss in different parts of your mouth.
White Composite Fillings
A filling will restore and protect your tooth if you have mild to moderate decay. Unlike amalgam fillings which are highly visible, our office uses white composite resin that is color-matched to blend with your teeth. This is one of the many cosmetic aspects of a full mouth reconstruction.
Gum Disease Treatment
Gum disease can result in widespread tooth loss as well as bone atrophy, and has been linked to serious health concerns such as heart disease. Before undergoing a smile makeover or any kind of oral rehabilitation, you will need healthy gums to support your restorations.
Our office uses dental lasers to safely remove harmful bacteria and compromised tissue to prevent the spread of the disease and improve the health of your gums. Laser therapy is precise and effective, and it can target infected gum tissue without impacting the surrounding area.
This is a fantastic dental practice. One of the best I've been to. The level of service is superb and the staff are both friendly and professional. Dr Curl is incredibly thorough and I could not be happier with the work he did for me. I can't stop smiling! Marissa Montgomery-Honeyman
